NOVATEK’s hydrocarbon production in 3M’2022 increased by 2.9% year-on-year

LNG volumes sold on international markets amounted to 1.86 bcm

PAO NOVATEK today released preliminary operating data for the first quarter of 2022.

In the first quarter of 2022, NOVATEK’s hydrocarbon production totaled 160.0 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), including 20.64 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas and 3.0 million tonnes of liquids ( gas condensate and crude oil), resulting in an increase in total hydrocarbons produced of 1.9 million boe, or 1.2% compared to the first quarter of 2021.

Preliminary total natural gas sales volumes, including LNG volumes sold, totaled 21.23 bcm, down 0.9% from corresponding volumes in the first quarter of 2021.

The volumes of natural gas sold in the Russian Federation were 19.37 billion m3, a decrease of 0.9% compared to the period of the previous year, while the volumes of LNG sold on the markets imports amounted to 1.86 billion m3, a decrease of 1.0%.

The Company processed 3.3 million tonnes of unstable gas condensate at the Purovsky processing plant, representing a 7.0% increase over the corresponding volumes processed in the first quarter of 2021. NOVATEK then processed 1 .8 million tonnes of stable gas condensate at the Ust-Luga Complex, which is equal to the volumes processed in the first quarter of 2021.

Preliminary sales volumes of petroleum products totaled 1,736,000 tons, including 1,161,000 tons of naphtha, 229,000 tons of jet fuel and 346,000 tons of heating oil and gas oil. NOVATEK sold 761,000 tons of crude oil and 619,000 tons of stable gas condensate.

As of March 31, 2021, NOVATEK had 0.2 Gm3 of natural gas, including LNG, and 700,000 tonnes of stable gas condensates and petroleum products in storage or in transit and accounted for in stock.
