Lathanein (LNR) has resumed its first drilling program on the Lyon rare earths project in the Gascoyne area of ​​WA.

The program targets high rare earth element (REE) results from rock chips extracted from ferruginous outcrops of the Lyons 11, 12, 13 and 27 prospects.

The second phase of the program will use a crawler mountain rig and focus on the Lyon 12 and 13 prospects.

The company has temporarily suspended the program to allow its engineering and geological consultants to complete drill chip logging and XRF analyzes of samples before shipping them for analysis.

He said this process would allow him to track any drill holes of interest when drilling resumes.

Lathanein said the success of ongoing modern exploration in the area has highlighted the potential for further rare earth discoveries.

Shares of the company last traded at 3.9 cents each on September 30.
